That kinda thing reeeeaaally starts to get annoying, because it jerks you out of the moment. He got the idea almost immediately. Eddngs novel changes direction many times: I’ve probably read this 4 or 5 times. It is up to Sparhawk to try and find a cure for her illness, with the help of his friends and fellow knights, as well as a thief and dqvid girl-child, before Queen Ehlena dies and the world is thrown into an age of darkness.
The new single volume features all of the same material found in the three separate novels including maps. The novel ends after Sparhawk, Kurik, Sephrenia, and Flute return to Rendor and discover the only way to cure Ehlana is with magic.

I followed the conversations while they were happening and by the time dwvid came back to the same character later in the book I had no mental connection to daviid previous conversations. You get to know the first few characters in the starter and the plot presents equally appealing dual conflicts. However, most of the villains come across as chronically incompetent. Recommended for Fantasy fans as well as anyone elenlum a fun, cheerful read. Just one plot, straight away, and it’s not concluded with any degree of satisfaction, no doubt to get you to buy the next book. Just not davix gripped by this as I was before with eddings.
